Sold Under Foreclosure, for $50,000, with Chairman Hamar the Only Bidder

The Twenty-eighth Twenty-ninth Street Crosstown Railroad was sold at auction yesterday, under foreclosure proceedings, by order of the referee, Newell Martin, by Joseph P. Day. The sole bidder was the Bondholders’ committee, of which John W. Hamar is Chairman. If got the property for $50,000, and the sale will come before the Supreme Court in the next few days for its indorsement. Source : query.nytimes.com |
