The Louisiana Attorney General’s office has closed its investigation of a 74-unit condo association in eastern New Orleans and given the group a clean bill of health. The probe began after some residents accused the Chimneywood Homeowners Association of unfair business practices and racial discrimination. The attorney general investigated three issues, including claims the 28-year-old development collected association fees but did not buy required insurance. Investigators also looked into income generated by the clubhouse and the hiring and compensation of Chimneywood’s property manager.
