Charles H. Tally, an expert in real-estate law and a senior partner in the New York law firm of Bachner, Tally, Polevoy, Misher & Brinberg, died of cancer Friday in United Hospital in Port Chester, N.Y. He was 72 years old and lived in Scarsdale, N.Y. Charles H. Tally, an expert in real-estate law and a senior partner in the New York law firm of Bachner, Tally, Polevoy, Misher & Brinberg, died of cancer Friday in United Hospital in Port Chester, N.Y. He was 72 years old and lived in Scarsdale, N.Y. Mr. Tally, who graduated from St. John’s University School of Law, had been with the firm for more than 50 years. He was associated with such real-estate companies as Uris Buildings, Rose Associates and Tishman Realty and such commercial projects as 55 Water Street, 666 Fifth Avenue, and the New York Hilton. He was also president of the Infants Welfare League in the 1950’s and was president and a member of the board of directors of the Jewish Association of Services for the Aged at the time of his death. He is survived by his wife, the former Bernice Gang; a son, William G., and a daughter, Nancy T. Polevoy, both of Manhattan; his mother, Eva S. Tally, of Yorktown Heights, N.Y., and two grandsons.
